Banana bread cookies with brown butter frosting

Ingredients

Icing:

Start by adding butter to a saucepan. Cook on medium to high heat until it’s bubbly and brown
specks form in the bottom of the pan. Take it off the heat.
Next in a bowl combine flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Whisk together and set
aside.
In a large mixing bowl add browned butter and light brown sugar and mix. Add in mashed
bananas, egg, and sour cream. Mix until well combined. Next fold in dry ingredients and mix
well. Cover dough and place in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours.
After dough is chilled use a one inch cookie scooper and scoop onto a parchment lined pan.
Bake at 350 degrees for 9-12 minutes. Let cool.
Icing:
Start by browning butter by adding butter to a saucepan and cooking on medium to high heat
until it’s bubbly and brown specks form on the bottom of the pan. Place browned butter in the
refrigerator until it’s not liquid anymore and softly set. Next add brown butter to a mixing bowl
and add in powdered sugar. Mix well. Then add vanilla extract and mix. Add in milk and mix.
Top cooled cookies with icing and serve! This made 22 cookies!
