Pet-Safe Tallow Balm for Dog Noses & Paw Pads

Ingredients
  

  • ½ cup grass-fed tallow
  • 2 tbsp coconut oil (optional)
  • 1 tbsp olive oil (optional)
  • 1 tsp beeswax
  • 1 tsp Vitamin E oil
  • 1-2 drops lavender or frankincense essential oil (optional, pet-safe only)

Method
 

  1. In a double boiler, melt the tallow, coconut oil, olive oil, and beeswax over low heat until fully liquefied.
  2. Remove from heat and stir in the Vitamin E oil and optional pet-safe essential oils.
  3. Pour into a small tin or glass jar and let cool at room temperature until solidified.

Notes

Apply to dog's nose or paw pads as needed, especially in dry or extreme weather. Massage gently. Safe if licked, but discourage excessive licking. Store in cool, dry place. Lasts up to 6 months.
