Chopped Sub Recipe

Equipment

  • 1 cutting board
  • 1 sharp knife
  • 4 16 oz deli containers or tupperware

Ingredients

  • 4 oz Salami: 4 oz
  • 4 oz Pepperoni: 4 oz
  • 6 oz Ham: 6 oz
  • 4 oz Turkey: 4 oz optional
  • 4 oz Capicola: 4 oz optional but adds that deli-shop taste
  • 6 oz Provolone: 6 to 8 slices about 6 oz
  • 1 bag Iceberg lettuce: ½ large head or one bag shredded ~5–6 cups
  • 2 Tomatoes
  • 1 Red onion: ¼ to ½ onion thin sliced
  • 1/2 c Banana peppers: ½ cup sliced
  • 1/2 c Pickles: ½ cup chopped
  • 1 Cucumber: ½ cucumber
  • 1/4 c Black olives: ¼ cup
  • 1/4 c Roasted red peppers: ¼ cup
  • ½ cup mayo
  • 1 tbsp red wine vinegar
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • ¼ tsp garlic powder
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • 2 tbsp grated parmesan
  • 3 large hoagie rolls

Instructions

  • Pile meat + cheese + toppings on a cutting board.
  • Drizzle with about ¾ of the dressing.
  • Chop until it turns into tiny deli confetti.
  • Add lettuce last and give it a couple quick chops.
  • Stuff into rolls or divide into containers.
